Etna is one of the most interesting destinations for those visiting Sicily. Dr. Sergio Di Prima of the Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) will be pleased to present one of the seismic workstations on the Etna at about 2900m.

Starting from Taormina you will reach Rifugio Sapienza by bus. From Rifugio Sapienza (Nicolosi - Southern Etna), with cable car, you will reach an altitude of 2504 m. Continuing towards Torre del Filosofo area, at 2900 meters, you will reach the spectacular Central Craters with special mountain guides by special off-road vehicles. The lava flows that characterize the Etnean landscape will make you enjoy an unforgettable landscape. Suspended over the sea, you will enjoy a breathtaking view that is unique in the world. You will discover the true nature of Etna and Dr. Di Prima will show you the seismic INGV station there.
